Peyron Back At Top After Cape Verde Islands

Leaving the tricky Cape Verde Islands astern, it appears to be business as usual for Loïck Peyron on Gitana Eighty as he emerges back at the top of the Vendée Globe fleet this afternoon with his margin re-established back at 24.3 miles over Jean Le Cam (VM Matériaux), who lead for a period this morning.

Jean Le Cam (VM Materiaux) has taken the lead in the Vendée Globe as the leading pack sail through the Cape Verde Islands. Le Cam's direct route seems to have paid off, as he leads by 1.6 miles from Seb Josse (BT). Loïck Peyron (Gitana Eighty) is now in third.
